NZ still RWC 'favourites'
Sydney - Former Wallabies captain Nick Farr-Jones says Australia's win over New Zealand last weekend was its best performance in a decade but believes the All Blacks must still be favourites to win the upcoming Rugby World Cup.
Farr-Jones, who led Australia to victory at the 1991 World Cup, said on Wednesday the All Blacks' 25-20 Tri-Nations loss to the Wallabies would galvanise them ahead of the main event.
He said "the All Blacks probably had the loss they had to have. I still think they start as clear favourites to win and they will have that steely determination and in a way, their nation deserves it. They are a wonderful rugby nation."
Farr-Jones said Australia scrumhalf Will Genia and New Zealand flyhalf Dan Carter would be the key players of the tournament.
