A World Cup-winner with the 2007 South African team, Fourie picked out Samoa over rugby heavyweights New Zealand, Australia and England.

He stopped short of saying Samoa, which recently beat No 2-ranked Australia, will upset Wales when the teams meet in a Pool A match on Sunday.

But Fourie told reporters Friday "most impressive, I think, is Samoa. I like the way they play the defensive ... and I would like to see them play against Wales this weekend as well. I've been enjoying watching them, they've been scoring good tries."
