Cape Town - The Springboks suffered an early double blow in the second half when Bryan Habana was forced off the field in their Rugby World Cup Pool D clash against Samoa at the North Harbour Stadium in Auckland on Friday.

Habana was replaced by Francois Hougaard.

Habana had earlier scored his 40th try for South Africa as the Boks opened a 13-0 lead at half-time.

Samoa have lost all my respect. Playing a disgusting brand of rugby. off the ball, trying to entice the Boks with dirty play. And having the Nerve to moan about the ref after he look away when they did what ever they liked, the ref missed around 50 high tackles and should have given 20 yellow cards for their professional fouls around the rucks. They should get at least 15 citing's from this match. Bunch of moaning buffoons. They should not be called Samoa, but Sa-moaning. Last time they compared their 5 day rest before playing the Welsh with "Apartheid" and the Holocaust! When all they know about is cannibalism. I wish then no luck for future in rugby at all. Here's to you leaving the WC Samoa, Cheers! ... bunch of Samoan ass wipes.

its miles better than a lose, "24 years waiting for a chance, its been 24 years since I had my hands on Webb Ellis, Ellis where the *&^% Webb Ellis?....."

  • Abu Bakr Omar - 2011-09-30 11:46

Well done Habana...spirited play even though these buggers played an extremely physical, cheap shot, dirty game plan!

Typical poor Sport24 reporting. "The Springboks suffered an early double blow". They mention Habana going off, but where's the "double" part? Yes, I know what happened to Hougaard, but if I hadn't seen the game I wouldn't have known about it. The usual low standards of this website. Or maybe the "double" is that we are now stuck with Habana for another year cos he thinks he still has it?

Good 40 by Habana , would've oved to see a full 80 fro him, he was in brilliant form. hopefully it wasn't serious

Bryan mate you're scoring tries again. Just keep them coming and the haters will be silenced.

  • BulvanBulle - 2011-09-30 15:19

Why is it a loss? And for the time JdV is on the field: 4 missed tackles, 2 knocks, 3 times being run-around. How useless is this vetkop?????????
