Cape Town - Argentina lock Tomas Lavanini and winger Manuel Montero will miss their country's tour to New Zealand and Australia due to injury.
The duo were injured during Argentina's 26-24 win over South Africa in Salta at the weekend.
Lavanini damaged his anterior cruciate ligament and will have surgery on his injury within three to four weeks time. The injury is set to keep him on the sidelines for up to six months.
Montero is also expected to be out of action for a lengthy period after he suffered a grade one tear in his adductor muscle in his thigh.
Meanwhile, los Pumas head coach Daniel Hourcade has named fly-half Nicolas Sanchez and inside centre Juan Martin Hernandez in his 28-man squad for their Australasian trip.
Both players were forced off the field against the Springboks due to concussion but are expected to recover in time for Argentina's clash with New Zealand in Hamilton on September 10.
Hourcade has also included loose froward Leonardo Senatore, Felipe Ezcurra and centre Jerome De la Fuente in his squad.
