Cape Town - Springbok coach Allister Coetzee has said that there will be changes to his side for this weekend's Rugby Championship clash against the Wallabies in Pretoria.
And with the release of three players - Lwazi Mvovo, Damian de Allende and Malcolm Marx - from the squad on Monday it looks like Willie le Roux could find himself playing on the wing.
But that all depends on what Coetzee does at scrumhalf.
Francois Hougaard has been largely tipped to take over from Faf de Klerk in the No 9 jersey.
If that happens, it means that there will be a vacancy on one of the wings given that Hougaard played at No 11 for the Tests in Australia and New Zealand.
Mvovo would have been the logical replacement, but now that he has been released it opens the door for Le Roux.
Le Roux, a fullback by trade, has been recalled to the Bok squad this week having not featured in the Rugby Championship so far.
Coetzee will announce his squad at 13:00 on Thursday.
