De Allende hits back at fan, says sorry

Cape Town - Springbok centre Damian de Allende has apologised after hitting out at a rugby fan who criticised his performance against Argentina at the weekend.

Twitter was abuzz after the Boks lost 26-24 to Los Pumas in Salta.

Rugby fan Brandon Wheater hit out at the Springboks’ performance and singled out De Allende and Johan Goosen, tweeting:

An upset De Allende then responded, tweeting: "Cough some more while you sit on your couch and enjoy your life doing nothing."

De Allende later deleted the tweet and apologised:
