LIVE UPDATES: Springboks v All Blacks

"We call on all South Africans to rally behind our national pride the Springboks this afternoon," Zuma said in a statement.

"We are certain that they will do the country proud, as they have always done on many occasions especially against New Zealand."

The match had been billed as the greatest Test in rugby, with the traditional rivalry between the Springboks and the All Blacks dating back to 1921.

Tests between the two rugby powerhouses remains one of the spectacles in world rugby.
