Wellington - The New Zealand Rugby Union (NZRU) celebrated the All Blacks' win in the inaugural Rugby Championship with a public display of the team's bulging trophy cabinet in Wellington on Wednesday.
The Championship trophy - created this year when Argentina joined New Zealand, Australia and South Africa in an expansion of the Tri-Nations format - was lined up alongside the Rugby World Cup and Bledisloe Cup in the display.
Wellington Council spokesperson John Morrison said the trophy exhibition was a chance for the Kiwi sporting public to honour a stellar run by the All Blacks, who are ranked No 1 in the world and have won 16 straight Tests.
"It's the first time they've ever been in the same place at the same time," he told Radio New Zealand.
New Zealand, seeking to complete the season unbeaten, will play Australia on October 20 before embarking on a four-Test tour of the Northern Hemisphere next month.
