Bookies backing Boks to lose

Cape Town - The Springboks will fall short against the All Blacks in their Rugby Championship match in Auckland on Saturday, if bookmakers are to be believed...

The Boks, who currently top the standings after three matches, head to Eden Park having not won at the 'home' of New Zealand rugby since 1937.

Leading SA bookies Sportsbet have installed the All Blacks as 7-point favourites to beat Heyneke Meyer's side - and move to the top of the standings.

New Zealand are on offer at 7/20 to win the match, while the Boks can be backed at 13/5. The draw is available at 25/1.

The match will kick off at 09:35 SA time.

In Saturday's other Rugby Championship match between Australia and Argentina in Perth (kick-off 12:05 SA time), the Wallabies are quoted as 10-point favourites, and are on offer at 1/5 to win, with Argentina offering seemingly excellent value at 17/4 to cause the "upset".

For the record, the 'experts' at Sport24 are going for the All Blacks to win (but by fewer than 7 points) and the Wallabies to sneak a victory (but, again, by fewer than the 10-point handicap)

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
