94% of Bok fans predict defeat

Cape Town - If the Springboks manage to secure a win against the All Blacks in Christchurch on Saturday it is safe to say that almost everyone will be shocked.

According to a Sport24 poll which had over 6 000 votes cast, nearly 94% of rugby lovers believe that the Boks will lose on Saturday.

Of the 6 252 participants who had voted by Thursday morning, 5 724 (91.55%) expected the All Blacks to win by 8 points or more while 134 (2.11%) think will be a tighter affair and that the Kiwis will win by 7 or less.

Just 220 people (3.51%) believe that the Boks will win by 7 or less points, while 141 (2.25%) optimistic die-hards think the Boks will win by 8 points or more.

There were just 33 (0.52%) voters expecting a draw.

Local bookmakers have the match handicap at 22 points in favour of the hosts.

Should the Boks lose by that margin, it will be their heaviest defeat in 60 Tests.
