Rugby men into heavy petting

Cape Town - Question: What is the one thing John Smit, Eben Etzebeth and Jonathan Kaplan all have in common?

GALLERY: Sports stars & their dogs

Answer: They are all rugby men who have pets and are animal lovers.

Former Springbok and Sharks hooker and current Sharks CEO, John Smit, recently retired star referee Jonathan Kaplan and current Stormers and Springbok lock Eben Etzebeth all tweeted pictures involving their pets this past weekend.

John Smit has a pair of Beagles and Jonathan Kaplan, a pair of British bulldogs, but we're not sure if Eben Etzebeth's trio have pedigree, or if they are pavement specials.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
