Cape Town - Former Western Province and Free State flyhalf Chris Rossouw has replaced Chean Roux as head rugby coach of the University of Stellenbosch.
According to the Beeld website, Roux coached Maties since 2005, winning three Varsity Cup titles, two national club championships and six WP Super League titles. The 35-year-old Rossouw was their assistant coach for the past year.
Jacques Hanekom from the WP Rugby Institute has also been appointed as forwards coach for next year's Varsity Cup competition.
Rossouw is the younger brother of former Bok wing and current Bulls backline coach Pieter.
Other announcements made by Stellenbosch include Freddie Ferreira (a former WP scrumhalf) succeeding Frikkie Naudé as president, while club manager Belius Potgieter is replaced by Quintin van Rooyen, previously from Fort Hare and Wits.
Former WP captain Charl Cronjé has been made vice-president.
