RWC winners share memories

Cape Town - The five winners of a trip to the recent Rugby World Cup in New Zealand have returned to South Africa and shared their memories...

The trip included tickets to watch matches during the tournament, an excursion to Waiheke Island and a Maori Cultural experience in Rotorua as well as all meals.

The trip was well planned and put together.

The rugby was awesome and the New Zealanders were wonderful hosts!

Firstly I have to thank Fransi - my beatifull wife - for giving me this great trip with a friend.

I would also like to thank Vodacom for making this possible for an average Joe like me to experience a trip like this. Without mentioning names I would like to thank each and everyone that went on this tour - at some stage during some day or night you gave me a memory that will stay with me for a very long time.

Trinergy - thank you for trying to get some order behind the scenes ~ you gave it your best!

The good, the bad and the ugly of the trip:

The bad part:
Lets be honest boys and girls - we would have loved to travel 12 188km to see the boks play. Flying that far is also not a pleasure
They say we are a third world - hah - we have Richelieu
Walking the "4,5km" fan trail

The good part:
The company we had and the food
I had some of my own Richelieu (not enough)
Watching the final and the All Blacks finally take it.

The ugly part:
The New Zealand woman
Those damn bottles of Tequila that kept popping up

"good people.good food.good rugby.what more could a crazy-dressing, wannabe mascot ask for!thanks vodacom for the most unforgetable experience of my life!"

New Zealand is probably the furthest place in the World you can go to from South Africa without starting to come back towards South Africa.

But it was worth every minute of travel. What a once in a lifetime opportunity and I want to thank Vodacom and Edusport for the chance to go to the RWC 2011 and for really looking after us.

New Zealand rocks. Not as awesome as South Africa but a good second option.

Waihiki Island, Hot Springs in Rotorua, Orbit Restaurant in the Sky Tower and watching the All Blacks win the final at Eden Park. Then there was partying with the South African partying champions. The crew on the trip new how to have a good time. All experiences I will never forget and will be forever grateful for.
