Potgieter setback for Bulls

2012-01-31 12:40

Johannesburg - The Bulls will be without former Kings player Jacques Potgieter when they take on the Eastern Cape franchise in Port Elizabeth on Saturday.

Potgieter is suffering from a back strain and will not be considered for the first Bulls outing of the 2012 season. He is expected to be back on the field in a month.

Coach Frans Ludeke indicated that some frontline players will not be considered for this compulsory friendly, but will rather play against the Cheetahs in Polokwane in two weeks.

He will be without Akona Ndungane (hamstring) and Werner Kruger (back) who are recovering from short term injuries, as well as Wynand Oliver (wrist), Morn Mellett (shoulder), Warwick Tecklenburg (shoulder), Fudge Mabeta (knee) and Rossouw de Klerk (foot), who will all be returning to the fray in the next couple of months.

At last a Bulls article to giggle over.

Giggle, You sitting on a carrot????

      Saffa - 2012-01-31 13:11

Nope, reading your drivel......and waiting patiently for the rest of the Blue brigade to start with their comments. It has been a long wait....

      Saffa - 2012-01-31 13:51

Ok, now for a ROTFLMAO moment....I read this on another site, and whoever the chap is who wrote this, cheers! "Can you imagine teaching the Bulls how to think , nobel prize for that one !" Told you Bulls threads are always good for a giggle or 2. No carrots needed. And where are all the Bullies? It seems as though they only comment on STORMER threads? What type of fans are they....closet Stormer ones?

Hi there Saffa Cat, how are you? You've been quiet though! At least the rugby season is starting soon, I notice that you are 'ready', yes?

      Steenbra - 2012-01-31 14:16

I noticed Olivier has a wrist injury..... a limp wrist from walking around the off season..

      Saffa - 2012-01-31 14:37

Hello @Rene :) I hope you are well? Nice to see a familiar Bulls 'friend' :)

      Rene - 2012-01-31 14:47

@Saffa, all is great this side of the 'boerewors curtain'! The off-season was way way too long, simply cannot wait for the rugby to start! Let's hope it's a goody for the SA teams!!

      Saffa - 2012-01-31 14:54

@Rene - thank the stars for some good cricket (international and local) and the Northern Hemisphere rugga....but fortunately, the REAL sport starts now :) I am glad you are well, and that all is hunky dory up north.

      Priester - 2012-01-31 17:09

@Saffa, sometime last year you made some good comments about the players and the game. My impression was "Die Girl ken van"; sadly you have lost the plot and somehow ended up being a Bulls Basher! Nee jong word groot of gaan speel met jou poppies.

Not good news but not a setback as there is still Dewald Potgieter, Arno Botha, Tekelenburg and CJ Stander. Hope he recover soon.

      Jack - 2012-01-31 15:57

Glad you did not mention Steggies.

Sounds like a fit team... lol

Judging from the picture, Potgieter suffers from a back strain he got while sneaking off all the gym equipment to the scrapyard.
