Bees, Os in SA BaaBaas team

Cape Town - Blue Bulls coach Pine Pienaar will take charge of the South African Barbarians team that will tackle the Lions at Ellis Park next month.

The SA Barbarians will play the Lions on June 7, replacing the French Barbarians who pulled out of the fixture.

According to the Volksblad website, the squad has a distinct Blue Bulls flavour, with Vainon Willis, Clayton Blommetjies, Lohan Jacobs and Courtnall Skosan all part of the group. Former Bulls flyhalf Jacques-Louis Potgieter (Dax) and former prop Bees Roux (Treviso) have also been chosen, while Wynie Strydom has been appointed manager.

There's is also a bit of a Cape flavour in the squad, with Maties prop Os Hamman and lock Myles Tucker also selected.

Meanwhile, the SA BaaBaas are still waiting to hear if France-bound JC Janse Van Rensburg and Derick Minnie will be available for them or the Lions.

The Lions face Samoa in Johannesburg on Saturday, before hosting the Barbarians the following week.
