Cape Town - Springbok lock Victor Matfield claims he doesn't know much about soccer, but is backing Argentina or Portugal to win the 2010 Soccer World Cup.
Matfield admitted on his social networking Twitter page: "Ok I don't know my soccer that well", but went on to say that with "Bafana and England out of World Cup. Now I have to pick between Argies or Portugal."
Portugal face a tricky Round of 16 clash against neighbours Spain at the Green Point Stadium in Cape Town on Tuesday, while Argentina have an equally challenging match against Germany in the quarter-finals, also in Cape Town, on Saturday, July 3.
Matfield, who sat out the Springboks' 55-11 second Test victory over Italy in East London on Saturday, went on to voice his bemusement at FIFA's apparent anti-technology stance, tweeting: I don't understand why they don't use technology in the richest sport in the world.
