According to the Rebels' website, One Commando Regiment conducted the arduous leadership based activity for approximately 40 hours to test the Rebels' teamwork and decision making under physical and mental stress in unfamiliar environments.

Thirty senior players and coaching staff from the club took part in the training.

The Australian Army is renowned for its ability to identify and develop leadership qualities within a group environment, and has successfully conducted similar leadership activities for professional sporting teams from a variety of disciplines.
