London - Wales coach Warren Gatland says prop Gethin Jenkins will miss the start of the Six Nations because of a knee injury and could be out for four to five weeks.

Gatland says Jenkins is a big loss to the team since "he's got a very good rugby brain and he sees things on the field. He's almost like a coach on the field."

Flyhalf Rhys Priestland is also struggling with a knee problem and is likely to miss next week's opening game against Ireland.
