Cape Town - Springbok captain Jean de Villiers will captain the Barbarians in their clash against Fiji at Twickenham in London on Saturday.
The Barbarians confirmed the news via their official Twitter account.
They also confirmed that lock Flip van der Merwe has replaced fellow Springbok Eben Etzebeth in the squad.
Etzebeth was ruled out for the festival match after sustaining an ankle injury in South Africa's 19-10 win over France last weekend.
Overall there are nine Springboks in the squad coached by New Zealand's Steve Hansen.
