Cape Town - Springbok and Sharks centre Adi Jacobs is set to leave the Durban-based franchise and seek greener pastures.
Jacobs enjoyed a frustrating season at the Sharks in 2011, where he found himself behind Marius Joubert, Stefan Terblanche and Meyer Bosman in the pecking order, and also missed out on Springbok selection for the Rugby World Cup.
Jacobs's team-mate JP Pietersen let the cat out the bag when he tweeted on Tuesday: Morning Tweeps. Sad news this morning. My friend/dad Adi Jacobs is leaving the Sharks. All the best on your new journey.
It is not immediately known where Jacobs will continue his career.
