Greg Goosen helps out at Agen

Bordeaux - South African fullback Greg Goosen returned for a third spell in France's Top 14 on Saturday as he signed for struggling Agen as a replacement for the injured former All Black Ben Blair.

Goosen, who turns 29 on Sunday, has previously played for Racing-Metro and La Rochelle in the Top 14 and most recently played for Newcastle Falcons, who were relegated from the English Premiership last season.

"His (Goosen) contract will come to an end once Ben Blair is fit again," an Agen source said.

"However, the club will keep an option open on retaining him depending on circumstances."

Agen, who are presently 12th in the table having lost all three of their games thus far, play away at Toulouse later on Saturday.
