Eagles ease to victory

Kempton Park - The SWD Eagles eased to a 47-22 win over the Valke in their Absa Currie Cup First Division match at the Barnard Stadium on Saturday.

Fullback Elric van Vuuren scored 22 points: a try and kicked three penalties and four conversions as the Eagles heaped more misery on  the Valke's season.

The Valke have now won just one of their seven matches.

Scorers:

Valke – Tries: Hendrik Meyer, Hannes Ludik, Juan Kotze; Conversions: Kotze (2); Penalty: Karlo Aspeling.

SWD Eagles – Tries: Johan Herbst, Elric van Vuuren, Nico Hanekom (2), Alshaun Bock, Dumisane Meslane; Conversions: Van Vuuren (4); Penalties: Van Vuuren (3).
