Drunk England No 9 arrested

London - England scrumhalf Danny Care has apologised after being been arrested and fined by police for being drunk and disorderly on a night out with his team-mates from English club Harlequins.

The 24-year-old Care was released after being arrested early on Saturday, shortly after Harlequins' 21-10 defeat to Toulouse in the Heineken Cup. He was fined £80 ($125).

Care, who has won 24 caps for England, says "I should have remembered that as a professional player, I am on duty throughout the season and need to set a better example to fans."

Care's indiscretion may not have gone down well with interim England coach Stuart Lancaster, who has vowed to rid the national team of the off-the-field indiscipline that marred their recent World Cup campaign.
