Ndungane doubt for the Sharks

Durban - This Saturday, the Cell C Sharks take on the Blue Bulls at Loftus Versfeld as they start the new cross-section round of matches, but will have to do so without a few players currently on the injury list.

Sharks website editor Michael Marnewick reports that ahead of this weekend's match, Sharks team doctor Alan Kourie has released a medical update on the following players.

Wing Odwa Ndungane has suffered a groin strain in their Currie Cup clash against Free State but his lay-off period has not been established as yet.

Centre Heimar Williams has a strained groin and he has been ruled out for approximately four weeks.

Matt Stevens has had a minor scope on the left knee and has been ruled out for approximately three weeks while fellow front-rower Thomas du Toit who failed a late fitness test before the Free State game will be put through another test later this week before a call is made on his availability.

"There were plenty of positives for us to take away from the draw against the Free State Cheetahs and the team will definitely be looking to build on that momentum going in to the Blue Bulls match," said Sharks coach Brad Macleod-Henderson when looking ahead to this weekend's action.

"They are on a winning streak and are a difficult prospect at home."
