Sharks centre calls it a day

Cape Town - Sharks centre Heimar Williams has opted to retire from professional rugby.

The Sharks on Thursday announced that the midfielder decided to pursue a career as a chartered accountant.

The 25-year-old, who was schooled at Affies in Pretoria, has been at the Sharks since 2010, playing for the union’s Under-19, Under-21, Vodacom Cup, Currie Cup and Super Rugby teams.

The Sharks announced the news via their official Twitter account:
