Mitchell working hard on Bulls defence

Cape Town - Executive of rugby John Mitchell is working hard at improving the Blue Bulls' defensive systems.

According to Netwerk24, the Blue Bulls have conceded 39 tries in seven matches during this year’s Currie Cup - the most of any team in the competition.

That’s an average of more than five tries per game and part of the reason why the Bulls have lost four games.

“It (defence) will remain a big focus point. I view it as a continuous process,” Mitchell said.

The Bulls have a bye this weekend, with their next scheduled match against the Golden Lions in Johannesburg on September 16.

They are currently third on the Currie Cup standings, one point ahead of Western Province, but have also played one more game.
