Liebenberg completes comeback

Cape Town - Former Springbok hooker Tiaan Liebenberg will make his return to rugby this weekend when the Free State XV tackle the Blue Bulls in Provincial Cup match Pretoria on Saturday.

Liebenberg, 34, retired from rugby after injuring his back in a Currie Cup game for Western Province in 2014.

But he decided to make a return to the game and has been training with Free State these last few months.

Hewas on Wednesday included on the Free State XV’s bench for this weekend’s game.

Liebenberg, who played five Tests for the Springboks in 2012, joined WP from Griquas in 2006, playing for the Cape franchise for eight years.
