Cape Town - Free State Cheetahs centre Nico Lee has extended his stay at the Bloemfontein-based union.
According to Netwerk24, Lee will be available for the Cheetahs for the next three seasons.
The announcement follows after Lee was earlier this week nominated for the SA Rugby Currie Cup Player of the Year accolade.
The other nominees are his Cheetahs team-mate, prop Ox Nche, and Western Province centre Huw Jones.
The 22-year-old Lee has thrived for the Cheetahs in the Currie Cup since getting his chance in midfield following an injury to skipper Francois Venter.
He will partner Venter in midfield for Saturday’s Currie Cup semi-final against the Golden Lions in Bloemfontein (15:00 kick-off).
