Janse van Rensburg linked with Pumas job

Cape Town - Former Boland coach Brent Janse van Rensburg has reportedly agreed to become the new head coach of the Pumas.

Janse van Rensburg’s resignation as Boland Cavaliers coach was confirmed on Monday and Netwerk24 now reports he is set to take over from MJ Mentz as coach of the Nelspruit-based Pumas.

Mentz will stay on as an attacking and defence coach along with Hein Kriek. The Pumas managed to win only one game in this year's Currie Cup Premier Division but will hope Janse van Rensburg, who is considered one of the most promising young coaches in the country, can turn things around next season.

Janse van Resnburg helped Boland to qualify for the Currie Cup Premier Division and also performed admirably with the EP Kings last year. He coached NMMU to the semi-finals of the Varsity Cup for the first time ever in 2013.
