Griquas too strong for Griffons in Kimberley

Cape Town - Griquas have won their opening game in this year's Currie Cup, beating the Griffons 34-14 at Griquas Park in a very wet Kimberley.

Griquas, who led 15-7 at half-time, outscored their visitors by four tries to two with Clinton Swart kicking three penalties.

Griquas next face the Falcons away while the Griffons play their first home game of the season against the Leopards.

Both these fixtures take place on Saturday, April 16.
