Dreyer fit for Lions' Newlands trip

Cape Town - The Golden Lions will be able to call on the services of Springbok prop Ruan Dreyer for Saturday’s Currie Cup semi-final against Western Province at Newlands.

Dreyer missed last weekend’s 44-17 win over the Free State Cheetahs due to a rib injury but has since recovered.

JP Ferreira, the Lions' assistant coach, told Netwerk24 that Dreyer trained well with the team on Monday and could be considered for the clash at Newlands.

Ferreira confirmed there had been no other injury concerns following the win over Free State at Ellis Park.

The victory enabled the Lions to finish third on the overall standings, two points behind WP.

Saturday’s clash at Newlands is scheduled for 17:00.
