Concussed Lambie remains sidelined

Cape Town - A dark cloud appears to be hovering over the playing future of Sharks and Springbok flyhalf Pat Lambie.

Lambie is still not ready to train nearly two months after sustaining a concussion against Ireland.

Lambie left the field at Newlands on June 11 following a hard knock from Ireland No 8 CJ Stander, who was red-carded.

“Pat continues to show symptoms of concussion and could not start training,” said Sharks team doctor Alan Kourie told Netwerk24.

“He is being monitored on a daily basis and our medical staff are doing everything they can to get him back on the field.”
