Cheetahs to win by 8 - bookies

Cape Town - The Free State Cheetahs will get the better of the Blue Bulls in Saturday’s Currie Cup final, local bookmakers have predicted.

The Cheetahs have been the form team in this year’s Currie Cup Premier Division, winning all eight their round-robin matches, as well as claiming a 55-17 semi-final victory over the Golden Lions.

They also thumped the Bulls 43-20 in Bloemfontein earlier in the season and following last weekend’s heroics, are the favourites to win on Saturday.

Therefore, local bookies sportingbet.co.za have predicted an eight-point victory for the Free Staters.

The Cheetahs however should not be overconfident, as history suggests they may be in for a tough time - the men from Pretoria have won seven of the nine finals between the teams over the years.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
