Blue Bulls fret over star lock

Pretoria - The Blue Bulls finished last week's 52-32 Currie Cup win against the Pumas with one injury concern.

Lock Aston Fortuin sprained his ankle and although it looked considerably better when the player returned to training on Monday, a decision will only be made on his availability later in the week.

Meanwhile, flank Jannes Kirsten, utility back Duncan Matthews (hamstring strains) and centre Ulrich Beyers (concussion) have all resumed training and will be available for selection ahead of Saturday’s semi-final against the Sharks in Durban.

Kick-off for the clash at Kings Park is scheduled for 14:30.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
