Watson's season likely over

Cape Town - Eastern Province Kings captain Luke Watson is likely to miss the remainder of the season due to concussion.

The Kings' medical team has expressed concerns around his recovery from a concussion sustained during a game against the Blue Bulls in Pretoria in August.

Watson will be going for an MRI scan on Tuesday but his chances of playing any further part in the season look bleak.

The Kings are still without a win in this year's Currie Cup after six straight losses.

They host the Free State Cheetahs in Port Elizabeth this Saturday (15:00 kick-off).

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
