Cape Town - Western Province are looking to add depth to their scrumhalf, lock and wing positions with the eye on next year's Super Rugby competition.
Province came badly unstuck in the Currie Cup final against the Sharks at Newlands on Saturday, losing 33-19 in front of a packed Newlands.
They will now set their sights on next year's Super Rugby competition, but according to a report on Die Burger's website, coach Allister Coetzee is looking to add depth to three key positions.
Coetzee is reportedly keen on luring a top scrumhalf to the Cape. Louis Schreuder had a terrible game and was completely overshadowed by his opposite number Charl McLeod on Saturday, with the latter also intercepting a Schreuder pass to run 65m to score the game's first try.
Neither Schreuder nor Nic Groom has that much needed X-factor you need from a No 9 at this level and the Stormers could do with an addition there in 2014.
Argentine lock, Manuel Carizza, is expected to add more depth to the lock position, while Coetzee is also looking for a big and physical winger.
Gerhard van den Heever is off to Munster in Ireland, and with Bryan Habana already at Toulon in France, there is a need for another top class player in this position.
