Cape Town - Vodacom Western Province’s hooker Deon Fourie will appear before a SARU judiciary hearing after he was cited for foul play during Saturday’s Absa Currie Cup Premier Division game against the Sharks.
Fourie was cited under Law 10.4 (M) - for an act contrary to good sportsmanship. The WP hooker was cited after his right hand allegedly made contact with face area of the Sharks hooker Bismarck du Plessis.
The incident occurred during the 61st minute of the game. WP defeated the Sharks 33-21.
The date and time of the hearing will be confirmed on Monday.
