Sharks Boks could miss final

Cape Town - The Sharks face the possibility of tackling Western Province in the Currie Cup final without several key Springboks.

According to the Beeld website, the Durbanites could be without their whole Springbok front row and there is doubt over the availability of loose forwards Willem Alberts and Jean Deysel.

Props Jannie du Plessis and Tendai Mtawarira missed the weekend's 33-22 semi-final win over Free State at Kings Park due to injury and could also miss the trip to Newlands.

Hooker Bismarck du Plessis is also likely to be suspended after he was cited for stamping Cheetahs flank Lappies Labuschagné.

Alberts is struggling with a neck injury while Deysel limped off injured against the Cheetahs.

Forwards coach Brad MacLeod-Henderson said they will know more on the extent of the injuries later on Monday.

Saturday's final at Newlands kicks off at 17:30.
