SARU delay Rhodes' fate

Cape Town -  The disciplinary hearing for Western Province forward Michael Rhodes, scheduled to take place on Thursday, has been postponed until Friday due to the unavailability of the appointed judicial officer.

Rhodes was cited on Monday for a dangerous tackle in the Currie Cup final against the Sharks in Cape Town last Saturday.

The player was penalised in second half for placing his arm around Sharks hooker Bismarck du Plessis’ neck in a maul and maintaining his grip for a few seconds, which is in breach of law 10.4 (e) relating to dangerous tackling.

Rhodes’ hearing will take place on Friday at 11:00 in Cape Town.

Advocate Donny Jacobs will serve as the judicial officer.
