Rhodes' fate delayed - AGAIN

Cape Town - The disciplinary hearing for Western Province forward Michael Rhodes, scheduled to take place on Friday, has been postponed until further notice.

The player was cited for a dangerous tackle in the Absa Currie Cup final last Saturday and was scheduled to appear before a SARU judicial committee, but the hearing was deferred until further notice as he had to attend to prior commitments.

Rhodes was penalised in the second half of the match for placing his arm around Sharks hooker Bismarck du Plessis’ neck in a maul and maintaining his grip for a few seconds, which is in breach of law 10.4 (e) relating to dangerous tackling.

Adv Donny Jacobs has been appointed the Judicial Officer.
