Pumas star off to the Cheetahs

Cape Town - Pumas utility back Coenie van Wyk will play his rugby in Bloemfontein at the Cheetahs next year, Beeld reports.

Van Wyk, who can play flyhalf or fullback, is on the Pumas bench for their Currie Cup clash against the Blue Bulls at Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit on Friday 19:00 kick-off).

The 26-year-old also represented the Lions in this year's Super Rugby competition.

"I am very proud of Coenie and I'm very proud of how we developed him here at the union. It means we're doing something right," said Pumas coach Jimmy Stonehouse.
