Pumas fullback Jackson cited

Cape Town - The Barloworld Toyota Pumas fullback Johan Jackson will attend a SARU judicial hearing after he was cited for foul play during Friday evening’s Absa Currie Cup Premier Division match against the Xerox Lions at Coca-Cola Park.

Jackson was cited under Law 10.4 (J) for lifting a player from the ground and dropping or driving a player into the ground.

He was cited after he allegedly lifted Lions fullback Burton Francis from the ground, tipped and then turned him past the horizontal.

The incident occurred during the 32nd minute of the game. The Pumas defeated the Lions 34-27.

A date and time of the hearing will be confirmed on Monday.
