Cape Town - The Free State Cheetahs have suffered a key injury blow ahead of their Currie Cup clash against Griquas in Bloemfontein on Saturday.
According to the Rugby365 website, prop Caylib Oosthuizen is a doubtful starter for the clash after injuring his shoulder in a freak training ground mishap on Monday.
Assistant coach Hawies Fourie said the injury is a "big worry" and Oosthuizen is going for scans to determine the full extent of the injury.
That came on top of injury niggles that prevented a number of players from training on Monday - fullback Hennie Daniller, centre Johann Sadie, utility forward Teboho Mohoje and loose forward Philip van der Walt were all unable to train on Monday.
However, Fourie is confident that apart from Oosthuizen all the players should be fit to face Griquas.
Following their 30-29 opening round win over the Lions in Johannesburg, the Cheetahs lost their next two games against WP 15-14, away) and Sharks (18-15, home).
Kick-off on Saturday is at 15:00.
