Lions lay down marker, thrash WP

Cape Town - For the second week in a row the Golden Lions smashed through the 50-point barrier, this time demolishing Western Province 62-32 (half-time 36-20) with a nine-try romp in Johannesburg on Friday night.

With their win the Lions secured top spot in the standings and will host a semi-final - and the final should they make it that far.
