Johannesburg - Lions hooker Hans van Dyk was on Tuesday cleared of foul play following a SARU disciplinary hearing which was held at the offices of the Golden Lions Rugby Union in Johannesburg.
Van Dyk, who pleaded not guilty and was represented at the hearing by Marius Botha, was cited for allegedly biting Western Province flanker Francois Louw during a Currie Cup Premier Division match played at Coca-Cola Park earlier this month - which the Lions won 27-25.
Judicial Officer Advocate Jannie Lubbe viewed all the available video recordings and determined that the evidence did not warrant a citing.
As a result, the JO dismissed the citing.
