Cape Town - Western Province hooker Tiaan Liebenberg has been ruled out of their Currie Cup clash against the Sharks at Newlands.

WP announced the decision via their official Twitter page shortly before the 17:05 kick-off on Saturday.

Liebenberg was expected to make his comeback after a long injury layoff. He will be replaced in the starting team by Neil Rautenbach, with Stephan Coetzee coming onto the bench.

WP, who are assured of top spot on the log, picked a second-string outfit for the clash.
