Cape Town - Western Province fullback Cheslin Kolbe should be ready for the Currie Cup semi-finals.
Kolbe injured his back in WP's 37-23 win over the Pumas in Nelspruit on September 26 which forced him out of last week's clash against the Free State Cheetahs in Bloemfontein.
Dillyn Leyds replaced him in the No 15 jumper for the Cheetahs clash after re-joining WP from the Western Force in Australia.
Because Leyds joined WP too late in the Currie Cup season, he will not be allowed to play in the knockout rounds.
However, according to Friday's Die Burger, Kolbe did on-field training on Thursday and should be ready to play in Leyds's place in next week's semi-finals.
WP have already secured top spot on the overall Currie Cup log and have therefore named a second-string side for Saturday's final round-robin clash against the Sharks at Newlands (17:05 kick-off).
