Injuries mount for Blue Bulls

Johannesburg - Blue Bulls loose forwards Dewald Potgieter and Deon Stegmann will both miss Friday's Currie Cup clash against Griquas.

Team doctor Org Strauss confirmed that Stegmann, who suffered a fractured cheekbone against the Pumas, will only play in a month's time.

Potgieter, who suffered a badly broken nose against the Lions two weeks ago, also had it surgically repaired and will not be able to play on the weekend.

Werner Kruger, Akona Ndungane, Gary Botha, Wynand Olivier and Bjorn Basson did not train on Monday, but will be fit to play, Strauss said.

Gerhard van den Heever and Ruan Snyman are still out with shoulder and chest injuries, but will resume training next week.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
