Cape Town - The Sharks will play Western Province in the 2012 Absa Currie Cup final - if Sport24 readers are to be believed...
In a poll currently featured on the Sport24 website, when asked "Who will contest the final?", some 40% of the over 4 000 votes cast believed the table-topping Sharks will host WP in Durban in the Saturday, October 27 final - which would be a repeat of the 2010 final won 30-10 by the Sharks.
For that to be a reality, the Sharks will have to beat the Blue Bulls in this weekend's first semi-final in Durban (kick-off 16:30), while WP will have to triumph against the defending champion Golden Lions at Coca-Cola Park in Saturday's second semi-final (kick-off 19:00).
A Sharks v Lions final - which would be a repeat of last year's final won 42-16 by the Lions - gathered 25% of the vote, while a WP v Blue Bulls final was favoured by 18% of the respondents, with the final 17% opting for a Lions v Blue Bulls climax to the season.
