Currie Cup semi refs named

Cape Town - Marius Jonker and Marius van der Westhuizen have been appointed to referee the two Absa Currie Cup semi-finals on Saturday.

Jonathan Kaplan will handle the first Currie Cup first promotion-relegation match between Griquas and the Pumas in Kimberley on Friday.

Jonker will take charge of the first semi-final, between Western Province and the Golden Lions at Newlands in Cape Town at 14:30.

Van der Westhuizen, one of the country’s best up-and-coming referees, will officiate the match between the Sharks and Free State Cheetahs at Kings Park in Durban at 17:00.
